About Me

I'm Xander Jenkin, an undergraduate at Princeton University (class of 2025) majoring in Astrophysics with a minor in Medieval Studies.

I am passionate about research and enjoy studying any and all kinds of radio and microwave astronomy! See my research section to learn more about my various projects.

I'm from Citrus Springs, Florida (currently living by Tampa Bay) and graduated from the Citrus High School Academy of Computer Science, where I matched to Princeton University with early admission through the QuestBridge National College Match (a program for low-income, high-achieving high school students)—receiving a full ride to Princeton and becoming the first person in the history of my high school to attend an Ivy League University.

I love learning about the universe, building computers, playing with my dog Riley, gaming (my favorite video game is Bloodborne), watching anime (more specifically, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which I am caught up all the way to the colored portion of Part 8), and eating at Wawa (whether it's in Florida or New Jersey).

My favorite food is sushi (any kind with or without rice, I will eat a slab of raw salmon as long as I have enough soy sauce), my favorite Pokémon is Rotom, and my favorite color is orange (even before coming to Princeton, funnily enough). I also have played a ridiculous amount of Super Smash Bros. Melee, and my favorite player to watch is Mang0, the greatest player of all time.
